This position will assist with the development of an archaeology and cultural resources program for Kuna Engineering, leading the development and reporting for archaeological field surveys and cultural resource investigations in compliance with Section 106 of the NHPA and AHPA. The individual will support NEPA and related project approvals required for federal permitting and rights-of-way, working within a multi-disciplined team of scientific and environmental professionals.
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements
Weather: Indoors/Outdoors – Frequent exposure to moderate to harsh weather conditions. Requires work to be done both inside and outside.
Noise level: The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
Description of environment: Frequently required to be outside at construction/project sites. Also occasionally inside in standard office setting.
Physical requirements: Employee is required to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. Frequently required to sit, stand, walk, use hands/fingers to handle or feel, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, talk/hear, see, taste/smell, and carry weight/lift.
Travel: Travel required up to 50 percent of the time. Employee will travel to remote areas and may be required to use alternative modes of transportation, including but not limited to snow machines, boats, small airplanes and ATVs.
Travel may require an employee or contractor to pass a TSA security checkpoint.
